Frequently Asked Questions

When will I get my first box?

All boxes are shipped on monthly cycles. We usually ship on the first business day of every month.  If you order a box in January, it will ship the first week of February. Keep in mind, our subscription boxes sell out quickly, so it's best to subscribe early in the month to ensure you get one! Our themes are put together a month in advance to make sure you get beads that fit that particular season or holiday. Subscriptions renew on the 15th of every month.

Can I make requests for certain beads in my order?

Although we don't offer fully customized orders, we do take requests. You can see samples of beads for every theme posted on social media, and if you like it, claim it! All of our beads are extremely limited, so requests via social media are at a first come first serve basis. If you prefer to receive beads that are small, or large, or dont like certain colors, let me know and I'll try to substitute beads in you order. We also offer "vegan" boxes for those who don't want to receive any beads made from bone, horn or shell, and can substitute with another type of bead.

Why dont you label your beads with how old they are?

Because I source beads from several different vendors, I can't make specific claims on the age of the beads. If you have questions on specific beads you receive from Vintage Bead Box, I'm glad to try and help you determine the approximate age. I've spent years studying and collecting vintage jewelry, and although I can't give you an exact date on anything, I'm happy to point you in the right direction and share my research!

Do you sell beads separately and can I order more?

Beads in Vintage Bead Box are all unique, and every box is different. If you want to order more, you can order a second subscription, but you may not receive additional beads of the same style. Unfortunately we don't sell beads individually because all of the beads we have in stock per month are distributed amongst subscribers.  In the near future I plan on adding findings and finished jewelry to our Etsy store, and will let subscribers know at that time.

What's your refund policy?

If there are any issues with your order regarding shipping or damages, we will work with you and the shipping company to resolve the problem. If you are not satisfied with your order you can return your bead box for a refund. We do not offer refunds for prepaid 3, 6 and 12 month orders, so we encourage you test out our subscription with a month to month order before committing to a long term subscription. We understand that vintage beads aren't for everyone, so we want to make sure our customers are happy!
